Lots of things get done up big in Texas, so it was no surprise when Phastek Performance out of Katy, Texas, showed up at the Camaro5 Fest with a badass Camaro SS. Sporting a Magnacharger supercharger dialed in at 7 PSI, their red and black 2010 SS puts out 590 HP and 537 pound-feet of torque at the rear wheels while running on pump gas.
With all that power going out to Chevrolet’s 6-speed transmission, it takes a strong player to keep everything together. The folks at Phastek are happy to tell you that its a SPEC Stage 3+ Carbon clutch that takes care of business for them.
The Stage 3+ clutch features a carbon semi-metallic, full faced material that offers extra long life, great friction coefficient and a manageable and friendly pedal engagement, all in one single package. Suited to a high powered street or race car, the hub is double sprung with spring cover relieves for flexibility and uses heat treated components for strength and durability.
Continuing the theme of top drawer components, the Phastek Camaro also uses ARH 1 7/8-inch long tube headers, a Magnaflow 2.5-inch exhaust, KW Variant-3 Adjustable Coilovers, Phastek Custom C51R 20-inch wheels and a Hurst short throw shifter. Their own body kit is fitted along with a vinyl graphics kit for a more distinctive appearance.
