Even though the 5th Gen Camaro is already on its third year of production, the accolades and awards continue to roll in for our favorite LS3 powered pony car. It’s no surprise to us that at the recent 2011 SEMA show, the 5th Gen Camaro was named as winner of the SEMA Award for “Hottest Car”. The SEMA Channel recently posted this video to their YouTube page showcasing some folks who know the ins and outs of the latest and greatest Camaro, and why they think the 5th Gen is America’s hottest car, including Chevrolet themselves, and the makers of the modern Baldwin-Motion Camaros, Redline Motorsports.
We can already hear the grumbling from our Mustang and Challenger driving brethren, but the award was voted on by the exhibitors in attendance at the SEMA show themselves, folks that know a thing or two about what is hot and what’s not based on what they are selling, and according to them, aftermarket parts for the 5th Gen Camaro are flying off the shelves. Chevrolet’s representative tells The SEMA Channel’s reporter, “The combinations of customization and personalization for Camaro are almost endless and I think that is why SEMA recognizes us as the car of the year.”
It’s nice to have what you already know confirmed – that the Camaro is the hottest thing since your Tia Rosa’s Jalapeno Salsa. Please accept our most sincere congratulations to Chevrolet, Camaro owners, and all you LSX fans in general.
