If you didn’t join us for last year’s LSX Magazine Cruise to Hoover Dam, you missed one hell of a good time. And since we had so much fun meeting all of you and your sweet LS-powered rides, we decided to do it again this year. However, we were planning to leave at the same time from the same place as last year (see more details here) but unfortunately the great state of Nevada had something to say about that.
Unfortunately for us, the road that leads to the Hoover Dam is undergoing renovations and shuts down at 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday for those improvements to happen. Obviously, since we were set to depart at 6:30 p.m., that is not going to work for us. So, in order to bypass this problem and still hold our cruise, we have bumped the departure time up to 3:30 p.m.
While we know that this might create an inconvenience for some of you — or even mean you can’t make it anymore — it was the only way for us to still host the cruise, and we definitely don’t want to cancel it. We are aware that this is short notice, but we only found out about the road closure this morning (hat tip to Devin Pearson for making us aware of the situation).
Hopefully, many of you can still make this work and we hope to see you there. We will be gathering in front of registration at the Las Vegas Motorspeedway. Look for Project Corn Star, which will lead the cruise. If you have any questions or concerns, please email [email protected].
