Recently, though, things got a little out of hand in Arizona and one Camaro owner is going to have some time to work out his anger management issues.
Lauriano Lawrence Lovato, of Kingman, Arizona, will be spending three months in the House of Many Doors, after being convicted of discharging a firearm inside city limits. Back in April, Lovato put two bullets through the windshield of his Camaro after it refused to start one morning.
As reported in the Kingman Daily Miner, Lovato then went back into his house and fell asleep. Neighbors, in the meantime, reported a shots-fired incident to the police, who responded with backup and a SWAT team from nearby Bullhead City.
Lovato must have been a heavy sleeper. as attempts by the police to communicate with him over a period of seven hours, including by loudspeaker, failed. When the SWAT team entered the house, Lovato was found on a couch in the back and said he didn’t know that the police were there.
Lovato entered a guilty plea on the firearms charge and received three years probation as well as the 90-day jail sentence. The Camaro is in guarded but stable condition.
