LS motors are a great go-to when you need some more horsepower at your command, but mating them with popular GM transmissions like the TH350 or 700R4 can be quite a chore. That’s why Trick Flow has stepped in to offer its new LS Flexplate Spacer, which brings the crankshaft and torque converter together in the bellhousing for terrific fitment, and it’s now available through Summit Racing. See more details below.
Official Release:
The crankshaft flange on GM’s LS engines is 10mm shorter in relation to the end of the bell housing flange than earlier Chevy small block V8s. That’s no big deal if you use a 1998 or later automatic transmission. But if you want to adapt an LS to a TH-350 or 400, a TH-200R4, a 700R4/4L60 or even a Powerglide, you’ll need something to bridge the gap between the crankshaft and torque converter when the bellhousing is bolted to the block.
That’s exactly what this Trick Flow LS Flexplate Spacer is designed to do. The steel spacer properly positions the flexplate and supports the converter snout. Grade 8 bolts are included. The spacer kit is designed for use with GM flat style or dished flexplates.
Features:
- Positions flexplate properly
- Supports converter snout
