Fragola Performance Systems has added to their already impressive lineup of hoses, hose ends, and other plumbing components and tools here at PRI with the launch of their new EZ Street hose and hose ends. The hose, as Fragola’s Brint McLellan shared with us, is a low-permeation fuel hose that has a 30R9 SAE rating, meaning if you go out to your garage after the car has been sitting for a few days, you’ll no longer smell the fuel odors common with other hoses and “drive your wife nuts.”
“This stuff is compatible with today’s pump gasses, works with E85, E98, any ethanol or methanol blended fuels, and bio-diesels.”
The hoses have a true 1/2-inch inner diameter, meaning they’ll support a sizable amount of horsepower, particular in turbocharged and supercharged applications. The hose is nitrile-based and features a special braiding on the outside that serves a liner and keeps the hose true as you snake it through the chassis.
The hose ends, produced in-house in the United States at Fragola’s Connecticut-based facility, are anodized and feature a single bar method of attachment and are double-swivel, which means you can out them together on a bench, install them on the car and clock them in any direction/orientation needed. Fragola will be producing these in -6 and -8 for higher-horsepower applications. The hose ends also feature two Viton O-ring’s to seal everything off, further eliminating fuel vapors.
“These are a high-end product, but they’re also aimed at guys with muscle cars — guys who want to get into fuel lines that are compatible with today’s modern pump gas fuels. They can dial this stuff in on their vehicle and be ready to go. It’s a little cheaper than a PTFE or a teflon-lined hose.
