Callaway Cars made a big splash last week giving the world a peek at their nifty new station wagon C7 ‘Vette. Now that we’ve had time to acclimate to the AeroWagen’s silhouette, revisiting it with new pics gives a better idea why a C7 owner would want to sign up for the transformation.
Callaway says, “In the tradition of coach built shooting brakes, Callaway offers the AeroWagen for any version of the C7 Corvette Coupe. Its components can be fitted to the standard production C7, the Callaway SC627 Stingray or Grand Sport, or the Callaway SC757 Z06. The AeroWagen hatch assembly is a part-for-part replacement of the original equipment Corvette rear hatch, using the original hardware and latching mechanisms. It operates in an identical fashion.”
We think it would be a great way to drastically increase the utility of your Corvette. We can’t help but wonder if you could take it to Costco without thinking twice. Or how about a Home Depot run? The C7 coupe has pretty good utility already and the Callaway upgrade takes it the next level.
Dog lover take note too. Fluffy and Spot can now ride along in relative comfort without hogging the limited space up front.
With AeroWagen, you can do all the above and lay two black stripes too. Sounds like the perfect station wagon to us.
