SEMA 2015: QA1 Now Offers Staged Suspension Kits For Racing

QA1SEMA-27Many companies will offer suspension kits for your vehicle, but according to Dave Kass at QA1 it is often an ‘all or nothing’ kind of kit. That’s why he says they’ve been developing new suspension kits for both drag racing and road racing/autocross in up to three stages. This allows the vehicle owner to purchase what they can afford, and to upgrade to a higher stage kit later.

QA1SEMA-19For Drag racing, the kits are in two stages and offer a variety of applications from GM, Ford, and Mopar. The handling packages are available in three stages for each of the big three, as well. The staged kits allow a customer to start at stage one, then when they’re ready to upgrade to the next kit they can purchase what is needed to complete the next stage.

Kass said, “We see a lot of kits and what you get is what you get. We felt there was a need to offer them in stages so that customers can take their time to complete a full suspension kit. Spring rates can also be upgraded at the time of the purchase, so each kit is just a starting point that can be built upon.”

Kits are not set in stone, and QA1 encourages customers to reach out to discuss what options are available with each kit. For instance, for coilover shocks the spring rates can be selected based on the customer’s preference, and shock upgrades are available as well.

QA1SEMA-07QA1 also showed some new GM S-series control arms with standard ball joints, or rebuildable ball joints providing a lifetime of use. And for driveshaft preferences, be sure to check out its carbon fiber driveshafts for higher critical speed.
