Traxxas has long produced some of the most durable, high performance, remote control vehicles on the market. While they already have an impressive lineup of vehicles, they continue to bring us new products.

In speaking with Damron Atkins, he said, “The newest 2WD, electric powered Slash is now available with onboard audio. The engine sounds come from our full-size Pro 4 race truck, and includes two different sounds; one for neutral and one for drive. The truck is fully waterproof, and maintains the same durability of all our other Slash models.”

The truck has an onboard sound module to adjust the volume level, or turn it on and off, making it very user friendly. Regarding the onboard audio available on the new Slash, Damron mentioned, “It adds a whole new dimension to the RC experience. When you drive a Slash with audio, then drive it without, it’s just not the same experience, it feels faster, even more exciting.”

Traxxas also offers 1/18 scale versions modeled after the trucks that run in the Robby Gordon, Speed Energy, Formula Off-road series, presented by Traxxas. They are scaled down replicas of the race trucks and are 4wd, fully waterproof, and you can even buy two at once, in a “Race Pack” for around $300.

Lastly, Damron showed us a full line of custom production vehicles on the Slash chassis like Kawasaki, SnapOn, and Polaris. According to Damron, “We build these trucks for companies that are looking for custom produced vehicles, to be used as marketing tools.” That being said, they are still everything the standard Slash is, and ready to hit the dirt!
