Advanced Clutch Technology (ACT) has had a habit of going above and beyond when it comes to their customers and product warranties. ACT President, Dirk Starksen said in a recent press release, “Since we already go beyond what is promised in our current warranty for customers, we decided to make it official.” He continued, “This represents ACT’s continued commitment to quality products, exceptional value and customer service.”
Stating that this is a move that is unparalleled in the performance clutch aftermarket, ACT says that beginning in January, 2014, they will be announcing changes to their Limited Retail Warranty. Beginning in January, the Limited Retail Warranty will cover products for one year from the date that the product was purchased.
Warranties apply to all products, that they be free of defects in materials and workmanship for normal use and service. Of course, you will need to contact ACT with a written notice immediately as soon as possible, providing it is within the warranty period, and must include a copy of the receipt showing that the product was purchased from an authorized dealer, which can be found on the ACT web site.
ACT will examine the product returned for warranty to determine if the material or workmanship of that part doesn’t conform to the guidelines of the limited warranty. Their obligation under the new warranty would be to repair, replace, or credit, at its option, any part that they determine fall under the new ACT warranty. This warranty does not cover labor, shipping or storage charges, and of course if you damage the product or abuse it in any way other than its intended usage, or install incorrectly, ACT cannot honor the warranty for those conditions.
