Once again, our friends at Camaro5.com have the latest and greatest “spy” shots of the forthcoming fifth-gen Z28 Camaro. This time, though, there’s more to it than just exteriors as Chevy becomes less and less interested in maintaining the charade of secrecy surrounding testing. It appears that as was previously reported, the rumored supercharged 6.2l LSA powerplant (shared with the Cadillac CTS-V) is a lock.
The engine cover is noteworthy in that it’s clearly Z28 specific – compare it to the Caddy version below. Unless they’re going to a LOT of effort for misdirection, this is probably pretty close to what you’ll see in production.
The hood shows two-row extractor vents, but the camo makes it difficult to discern much more than that about the shape.
