2011 CAMARO COUPE, CONVERTIBLE CAT-BACK EXHAUST SYSTEMS AVAILABLE FROM CORSA PERFORMANCE EXHAUSTS
BEREA, Ohio – Premium exhaust system manufacturer CORSA Performance Exhausts offers its cat-back systems for the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro V8 coupe and convertible.
CORSA’s dual rear exit exhaust systems for the Camaro feature a straight-through, 2.5-inch nonrestrictive design to maximize airflow, improving performance and fuel economy. Boasting airflow increases up to 44% over stock, the Camaro exhaust systems have an average performance increase of 6 HP and 7 ft.-lbs. of torque. They are available with sleek 3.5-inch or 4-inch polished Pro-Series tips laser etched with the CORSA logo.
The CORSA Camaro exhaust systems feature the company’s patented Reflective Sound Cancellation(tm) (RSC(tm)) technology that delivers a bold performance sound outside the vehicle without unwanted interior drone. The benefits of RSC technology are clearly showcased in the 2011 Camaro convertible L99 6.2L V8, which has an automatic transmission and Active Fuel Management.
“The factory exhaust for this vehicle is equipped with restrictive exhaust valves that our engineers knew performance enthusiasts would want removed,” said Craig R. Kohrs, VP and general manager, TMG Performance Products. “Our technology works by targeting low-frequency sound waves within the muffler case, canceling the drone-causing sound frequencies while leaving the desired bold tone without flow restriction or electronic devices.”
In order to combat the extreme low frequency interior drone caused by the Active Fuel Management system with straight-through exhaust piping, CORSA decided to use a next generation version of their popular RSC technology.
“Our latest RSC technology is perfect for this situation because it uses rectangular sound canceling channels – which package nicely in the tunnel of the vehicle – rather than the cylindrical mufflers traditionally used by exhaust designers,” Kohrs continued. “With high-quality design and engineering, we are able to give enthusiasts what they want and deliver a straight-through exhaust with no drone.”
CORSA’s Camaro exhaust systems include the XO pipe and feature easy, bolt-on installation. Hardware and detailed installation instructions are also included.
