For those of you who run Snow Performance’s water-methanol injection system, you can blow the doors off the competition with the confidence that your system is running correctly. The new SafeInjection-Pro Safety System operates the injection system only when it detects optimum conditions, thus helping to save you from those embarrassing YouTube videos and wasted water-methanol from just cruising around town.
Official Release:
The SafeInjection Pro module works with Snow Performance’s Boost Cooler System to add aggressive spark and fuel curves to your engine, only under optimum conditions where water-methanol injection is controlling detonation. This module (PN30025) is the first pro-active safety system that’s fully adjustable and measures actual water-methanol flow, not pressure or current draw from the pump.
Why is it important? Many tuners want to make sure spark timing is added only when detonation controlling injection is actually taking place. SafeInjection Pro approaches safety proactively by triggering an aggressive tune only when adequate injection is present. When conditions are right, the SafeInjection Pro triggers your aggressive tune to maximize power from your engine, and reverts back to a milder tune if no water-methanol flow is present. It also has an output based on flow to show exactly how much is being injected at any time for complete confidence; (requires optional flow gauge PN30510). When combined with Snow Performance’s Boost Cooler, engine performance can increase up to 80+ horsepower.
