There’s nothing better during the holiday season than taking your Camaro out and supporting a great cause. That’s exactly what our Northern California friends over at Camaro5 did on December 4th, participating in the Toys for Tots and Capitola Run event. If you missed out on the action, or happen to reside someplace a bit colder than Cali, check out these pictures and videos of the event.
Many car clubs and area car enthusiasts do something for the holiday season that makes a difference. At the Toys for Tots and Capitola Run, Camaro5 members met for lunch, cruised up to Capitola, and above all, supported the efforts of the Marines through donations to the Toys for Tots Foundation.
Toys for Tots was started back in 1947 with a mission to collect toys to give to needy children for the holidays. Sixty-four years later, that mission is being fulfilled all across the country. Thanks to Camaro5 members and their generous donations, more needy children will celebrate Christmas this year with a toy.
From the pictures and videos, it looks like the Camaro5 members had a blast. In total, 24 fifth-generation Camaros, including a supercharged 45th Anniversary convertible, and five late-model Corvettes made it out to the event.
