Since the LS1 was released in 1997, racers have been actively trying to break records for certain categories with their vehicles. All-motor, cam-only, power adder, drag radial, slicks, whatever - there's no shortage of drag racing record categories for LS enthusiasts. There's no exception for the Trailblazer SS.
